About Us

Government College Dehradun City, Dehradun Uttarakhand was established on 18th November, 2021. Initially the college has 18 subjects (Hindi, English, Geography, Pedagogy, Home Science, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, History, Sanskrit, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology) of the undergraduate (Arts, Science and Commerce), Science, Botany, Commerce approval has been received.

Presently the college is being operated in the Mahila Polytechnic Sudhowala campus located on Chakrata Highway. The college is constantly striving to present an ideal environment for the study and all round development of the students. Sports competitions are organized for physical fitness and development in the sports premises of Women’s Polytechnic for sports facilities. Keeping in mind the safety of girl students, a “Women Cell” has been formed. Where girl students can put their grievances confidentially in the complaint box of the cell. “Anti-ragging cell” has been formed to keep the college free from ragging. To organize cultural activities “Cultural Club” has been formed which organizes programs on the occasion of various national days. A library has also been established for the educational up-gradation of the students. Hope to improve it in future. In the coming years NSS, NCC and Rovers / Ranges are also sure to be formed. In the session 2021-22, all the classes have been conducted smoothly through online and offline medium.
